Konjunktursorgen: Ifo-Index fällt auf Dreijahrestief
Der Index des Münchner Ifo-Instituts ist im August auf 94,8 Punkte gefallen - “durchaus dramatisch”, sagte ein Analyst dazu. Damit ist die Stimmung in der deutschen Wirtschaft so schlecht wie seit drei Jahren nicht mehr. Jetzt droht eine Rezession.
Der Index sackte das dritte Mal in Folge ab, was laut einer Faustformel für eine bevorstehende konjunkturelle Flaute spricht. “Die deutsche Wirtschaft gerät damit zunehmend in konjunkturell schwieriges Fahrwasser”, sagte Ifo-Präsident Hans-Werner Sinn am Dienstag. Im Juli hatte der Index noch bei 97,5 Punkten gelegen. Für den August hatten Analysten im Durchschnitt mit 97,1 Zählern gerechnet. Der Index wird monatlich durch die Befragung von rund 7000 Unternehmen mehrerer Branchen nach ihren Einschätzungen zur derzeitigen Situation und nach den Zukunftsperspektiven ermittelt. Er gilt als wichtigster Frühindikator der deutschen Wirtschaft.
