Thai court says PM must resign
A Thai court has said that Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej must step down because he violated the country’s constitution by hosting cooking shows while in office. The ruling also requires Samak’s cabinet to resign. Thailand’s ruling People Power Party have said they will re-nominate Samak to be Prime Minister. The Thai constitution allows the Prime Minister to return to the post if members of parliament vote him back in to power. Anti-government protesters have occupied the grounds of Samak’s office demanding his resignation since late August.
