Hamburg - Alcicia Keys hat es getan und Rapper Jay-Z auch, nun folgt Joss Stone: Die britische Soulsängerin unterstützt den Wahlkampf des demokratischen US-Präsidentschaftsbewerbers Barack Obama mit einem eigens geschriebenen Song. Die 21-Jährige befinde sich derzeit für die Arbeiten an dem Titel im Studio, berichtet die britische Zeitung “Sun”.
Obama sei ein Fan der Musik der Britin und habe sie selbst darum gebeten, das Lied zu schreiben, das er dann bei seiner Kampagne spielen wolle.
Obama sei beeindruckt davon, dass Stone sowohl farbige als auch weiße Wähler in den USA anspreche.

Eine nicht näher genannte Quelle sagte dem Blatt: “Joss ist eine große Unterstützern von Barack Obama, sie war sehr aufgeregt, als sie gebeten wurde, dies für ihn zu tun.” Die 21-Jährige, die den Angaben zufolge neun Monate im Jahr in den USA lebt, sei überzeugt, dass Obama US-Präsident werde.
