Pete Doherty frühzeitig aus der Haft entlassen
Der britische Skandal-Musiker Pete Doherty ist frühzeitig aus dem Gefängnis entlassen worden, wo er 14 Wochen wegen Verstoßes gegen Bewährungsauflagen absitzen sollte. Nach etwas mehr als vier Wochen verließ der Ex-Freund von Supermodel Kate Moss die Haftanstalt Wormwood Scrubs in London. “Viele Gangster” machten das Leben im Gefängnis aus, antwortete der 29-Jährige auf Fragen von Journalisten. Er freue sich auf eine Cola mit Rum und seine Katzen, sagte der Sänger der Babyshambles.
“Ich wusste, dass es hart werden würde, wegen der Überfüllung und den medizinischen Einrichtungen, aber die tun wirklich ihr Bestes, sie können halt nicht wirklich für einen Durchschnitts-Junkie sorgen”, sagte Doherty. Er lieh sich ein Handy von einem wartenden Journalisten, um einen Freund anzurufen, der ihn wenig später abholte.
Doherty war Ende Oktober wegen Drogenbesitzes zu einer viermonatigen Haftstrafe auf Bewährung verurteilt worden. Weil er in der Folge zu Treffen mit seinen Bewährungshelfern zu spät oder auch gar nicht erschien, ordnete ein Gericht 14 Wochen Gefängnis an. Einen Auftritt in der Royal Albert Hall am 26.
